We have informed all customers over a long period of time via email. Should you still have an affected certificate, simply reissue it and install the new certificate.
We are happy to help — if it is outside business hours, we recommend writing an email as we still reply outside of business hours.

GlobalSign PersonalSign will close on February 24, 2021

Due to a technical error in many intermediate CA certificates, which can also be used as an OCSP certificate by mistake, these certificates must be withdrawn and their keys destroyed.

This means that all certificates issued by such an intermediate certificate must be reissued from a new intermediate CA.

What does that mean to you?

We will inform our customers as soon as we identify affected certificates and estimate when their intermediate will be shut down so that they can be replaced in time.

Certificates affected (so far):

  • GlobalSign Domain SSL Certificates Issued Between June 2019 and August 2020
  • Also expected: PersonalSign and possibly GlobalSign CoDesign

GlobalSign has announced that the certificates must be replaced by December 31, 2020, but this date is subject to change.
We have now got dates between December 24, 2020 and February 17, 2021, depending on the product.

Reissue and validity

If you have a 2-year certificate or a certificate with more than 397 days of validity:
